Archaeological News: Pictures give rare glimpse into life under the British Raj

A total of 178 plate-glass negatives were found inside a size-nine Peter Lord shoe box by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) in Edinburgh.

These images are stunning. Again, I wonder how much cool and important stuff is rotting away in museum basements and archives.

There is a lot of discussion blowing up about this around the Internet, specifically about dating and Biblical implications. Nevertheless, this is a very cool find - something we haven’t seen yet.

We need to mobilize like we did before, and stop this. Why isn’t this getting the same attention as SOPA?
